Mt 6:28b See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.
Mt 6:29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these
When I was a child, my mother taught me to love wildflowers. She taught me to look closely at the intricate detail God puts in each one. Some He puts in clusters; others He keeps single; some in radiant color. So yesterday, with the sun bright and warm, I had to stop along a gravel road and admire God's handiwork.
The prairie was awash in color.
But to really enjoy God's handiwork, one needs to be on his knees.
A place I, and perhaps others, need to spend more time.
I hope my children learned the same from me.

Wow Dennis. I have been missing your Mom a lot lately. This really hit me it the right places.
WOW! These are absolutely beautiful. God's handiwork. wilma (we lived in Kansas back in the 60ties but are Texans by birth)
In a couple of weeks the flowers here at Rabbit Run will be out in force. We have more native flowers than any other kind. Our Blue stem grass is about a foot high and it will be pretty by the 4th of July. Being right on the edge of the hardwood forest and the short grass prairie we have a wide diversity of flowers. Love your pictures. MUD

What a keen observation. I don't know how I missed this post, but I'm glad it caught my eye when I glanced over at the sidebar. Beautiful.
